Few Turbo Questions
Okay so heres the deal....i have a 92-95 EX Greddy turbo kit on my 94 DX hatch with stock DX motor and when i have been taking it to tracks i've been running pretty consistent 15.2s. This was with heavy 17s, 6-7 lbs of boost, and stock Honda OEM 80K mile clutch (which was slipping). Since the last time i've been to tracks i put on a Centerforce DF clutch, EX tranny, and 15" SSR Type Cs. But my times have gone up. My first question is why. I've heard that the EX tranny swap should be good for .5 seconds off 1/4 mile times (and yes i'm sure its an EX tranny). So anyways, when i put on the turbo kit i ditched the blue box and went check valves and FMU because i heard the blue cant run if you try to raise the boost over the stock 5.5 psi settings. But since my car doesnt seem to be getting faster i've decided to just return it to the blue box to make sure the car runs totally stock and safe. But before i do this i was wondering what happens if you have raised boost on the blue box? I only plan on running between 6-8. Would the blue box be fine under these conditions?
