I have a b18c1 and I just wanted to know if it is possible to raise the compression a slight bit and still be able to boost 12-13 psi on 94 octane pump gas? Basically i want to get some arias pistons and some eagle rods. I was hoping to bump it out maybe 10.5:1 or even just keeping it stock...i really don't feel like lowering the cr since 90% of my driving is below 3.5K and i don't want my car to bog preboost. Another thing is if I do get my cr a bit higher or even keeping it stock, what would a good turbo be for a 4k spool or so? I'm also doing some head work so redline will be around 9k but it is the bottom end and the turbo choice that I am confuzed about. Someone please help?

Oh yeah it is a usdm b18c1 in a 96 hatch.

 

Ummmm straight t3. Start spooling around 2k? I'm new too so i may be wrong. Keep the compression the same.

 

i'm sorry...no i WANT to spool around 4k. That is pretty much why i do not want to lower my compression.
