Default a few boost questions

What can a b16a3 handle stock boost wise? only thing that will really be done will be a 3 inch cat and a 3 inch exhaust with a HKS carbon/titanium muffler....

I am going to be running a intercooled kit also....on a 16G turbo setup

I was thinking 6-7 psi...I don't see a problem in but just checking...

One more thing is what about injectors? do they need to be upgraded for this little ammount of boost?

boost is relative to the turbo itself.

POWERWISE, depends on how well or poor its tuned, and delivered its fuel.

a 16g under 10 psi with proper fuel will be fine for a stock b-series.

injector size is relative to the method of tuning.

on an fmu, stock injectors will be fine for 6 psi
on a vafc hack setup, you're going to want to go to 440-450's
on a hondata+ setup, you're going to want to size the injectors to your application

one other thing...ok say I do 10 psi...would I need to go the hondata root to do that? or could I get off with a vafc or a fmu doing that? Sorry I am more of an all-motor guy and dipping my feet into this...

I also have a greddy blue box I could use if that would work also...

if you're going to run 10, i'd run the hack for about a year or so.
if you want this motor to last 3 years, i'd run a hondata.

the blue box is basically an electronic fmu... and really, isn't much better than any off the shelf 12:1

sweet...competition

I am having my motor fully built over summer...I am just trying to get a budget low boost kit going....I have done ALL my research into high boost and never any at low...so I just don't know exactly what needs tuned what doesnt...

The motor I am going to have fully built is going to go in my street driven sol....goals are 14 psi on street and 24-25 at the track running a Full-Race stage 2 kit....hopefully my hondata tuning for that car will be done by Mase....just pricey to have him come up here with expenses and all...
