The bov from the **** and the furious most definately was a hollywood sound effect. Probably a lost effort trying to track that one down.

Wasn't the sound for the Eclipse actually gernerated by a turbocharged GSR?

My Greddy-S sounds pretty similar to the F&F bov. . .

I can't count how many people have told me that in under a year.

I have the OEM Greddy BOV from the Nissan Silvia SR20DET. . . it's black, making it less gay than the standard type-s.

(I believe the bov came stock on a silvia - I may be wrong. . . and if I am, I'm sure one of you bastards will correct me anyways )

Dude, this was a movie nowhere near real life! You do realize that in Hollywood they do all the dialogue and sounds after they tape the movie. I am 100% sure that bov sound was not generated by a bov. But I will give it to you for having the guts to post this.

The car wasn't even turbocharged. It was an RS with paint and a bodykit and some neons. The engine shot was from a different car which was a talon. Sound Effects = Sound Effects

A Greddy type s makes that BOV sound but the whistle after is defintley soudn effects. I can get a similar piercing whistle with my dsm bov but its no way that long, maybe if the turbo was ball bearing and had no lag and kept spooling even after u let off the gas. but even then the tb woudl close and so woudl the bov as it would see vacuum.

dont talk about FF here, the only nice car in that movie was the hemi and you know it

That long whistle has to be done with a fairly large turbo so it can sustain the rushing air after the throttle has been let off. FF is like the best movie EV4RRRRR!

Hey guys... I was wondering what short shifter that eclipse had. I want that cool clicky shifting noise everytime I shift. I heard it makes my car faster.

Hey I only wondered lol - I didnt know if it was Hollywood Special Effects or if it was the GReddy Type S. Big Deal imo, it was just a movie, seems like its a sin just to mention the movie on this site.

Don't worry, most of the people on here are closet-FF-lovers. It's kind of like having a fat girlfriend...she's fun to ride, but you don't want your friends to see her..
