I saw the preimer this past Monday what a load of sh*t evry single car has a nitrous kit on it and they all shoot flames out the exhaust. What makes me sick is that they have thoose gay *** huge metal wings, I guess they thought that the higher the wing the more power they got.

All I know is when I go street racing I see these beat up ugly *** Civic's or Supra's that haul *****. It is amazing how they tried to blend the car show life with drag racing. I wouldn't spend $8.25 to see I might rent it when it comes out on tape.

I think you guys are being entirely way too hard. Its a movie so its going to have bogus stuff in it. I saw it too and even though I picked out over a dozen things that just dont happen, all in all, it was a cool movie.

Sure, NOS doesnt give you an instant 400hp increase like it was advertised to do in the movie, and how many people at a street race realistically have HALTEC computers in their cars and are programming them at the start of the race? How many street races are 4 cars wide and are long enough to hit 160mph? How many modded 240sx's beat the crap out of a modded RX7? Like I said, a lot of this stuff doesnt happen in groups like the movie showed it too, but it was far from a bad movie.

BTW, I didnt think Gone in 60 Seconds sucked either, I liked that movie, it was awesome. I think some people need to just sit back and enjoy the movies instead of being so critical of them. I myself was criticizing at first, but once I shut the **** up..... I enjoyed the movie.

and last, my $.02, Cannonball Run 1 and 2 were by far the ****..but a totally different type of movie and should draw no comparisons to Gone in 60 Seconds or Fast and Furious.

All I have to say about it is that it was fun as hell to see. All of those cars were deceked out beyond anything that most of us will ever see. SO why not live in a fantasy world for an hour or 2 not like most movies now depict life as it actually is. I say go see it and drewl on all the flash and engine noise. Thats what I'm there for, o and Jordana Brewster kinda helps HEH

actually, 4 car races from 0 to top out do happen.. Its called cannonball runs, when they first built the tollway in dallas and no-one drove on it they used to race like that out there but not anymore..

someone else said people dont have haltechs at the street races.. hehe give me 9 months.. I know of a few supras with labtop programmable ECUs that come to the races..

Whoever says it is rice doesn't understand what 'RICE' is. An Intera/Civic owner can't call a Supra TT boosting 25 psi, a Skyline GTR, or a RX7 TT Rice no matter how outrageous they look.

Remember 'Rice' is trying to give the apearance of performance (or the image of) when the car isn't fast. A 10 sec turbo car with a trippledecker wing and 100 sets of altezzas isn't rice, it's just tacky. Let's let the word 'rice' rest.

The movie was awesome. Blow-off valves, turbo spools, NOS sprays, plot, girls, action, etc, etc. I don't know what more you would want. The cars and the races in that movie are more exiting than the one most of us ever see in person (Hey I'm in TX). Again, this is IMO. Watch it then judge. -C
I AGREE 100% just wish I could've said it first...good one man

I finally got to see this movie when I was in Cali this past weekend. AWESOME movie. Yeah, some stuff kind of cheesy, but all in all it was still great. And I've NEVER seen so many ricers in my life as I saw in 4 days in California!! Pretty funny. Any and every car slammed to the ground with a bumble bee lawn mower exhaust!

OK, so what kind of car do I have to own before I can be"elite" enough to call those rice?

Personally, I think "rice" period is stupid. I can not stand that ******* word. It is like everyone is some sort of ******* master on what is and wht is not "rice"! Everyone has their own definition of what it is, just like any slang word. Personally I feel it is ******* dumb. I do not us that word. I prefer different terms of endearment for a car like "God awful ugly piece of **** eyesore".

that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I still say the souped up Accord is sweet - and different. I'll put you down as Elite in my "To Elite or not to Elite" book brutha.

Thing is, I never much cared for imports until I saw my Civic Hatchback in the used car lot at David McDavid Pontiac. I had never seen one before, and I loved it. Bad thing is, a lot of the fast import cars are DSMs, Supras, etc - and you know they look down their nose at Honda guys. Oh well, cuz I love my Hatchy!

After seeing this movie and seeing all the decked out imports I have to say i have seen some races that were all show cars and some races which were all race cars and too see that Dodge get up like that sure does bring back memories....
If u have never seen a street car such as that Dodge do that then u haven't seen a street race....

For instance, I saw a El Camino (dont know what year or engine) but it was like that Dodge. He lined up against a Kawasaki 900 ... When they both took off both were in wheelie mode till like 40 or 60 mph.. ON Street!! the bike of course stayed in wheelie mode till it was out of site .. when they came back ... Guess who won..the bike? the El Camino? .. humm what if i told u the El Camino won by over a car... humm 8 sec street car damn thats fast.!!!
and of course highly dangerous so stay safe keep it on the tracks.

Whoo hoo! thanks man!

Anyway, screw the DSM and Suppra guys who look down their noses. They look down their noses at everyone and can not respect what anyone else is doing. They are monkey raping *** spelunkers in my book.

Hey anyone remember hearing about a movie called REDLINE? anyone know what happend to that Import movie?
The Fast and te Furious was actualy named Redline for a while but they changed it. I am not sure why tough.

I like it I have watched it a few times and will watch it again. The movie would have gone nowhere had it been to tech and realistic. How realistic is Jaws, Star Wars and any othe movie that has ever come out of Hollywood? Mostmovies have their inaccuracies.

The aftermath of this movie is going to consist of blown motors everywhere, everyone putting "tips" on their Saturns and Geos and lots more Street Glow, oh yea and of course way more vinyl and battle wings. Cops are going to be pulling us over more often and think of us as thugs.

The NOS marketing team is genius.
