Default As far as axle strength rating is concerned- does a Quaife LSD put twice as much, or half as much st

Reason I am asking is because I know people running high HP on stock axles, and I am going to be running around 400 wheel hp or so daily, not a lot of drag racing either. I was thinking that if a Quaife distributes power equally from a launch, then the stress should also be distributed equally right? Therefore would I really need to get stronger axles since I have a Quaife and am never planning on running slicks(also 95% daily driving and non-hard launches). Just trying to plan on spending the little extra remaining money I have for mods wisely(and axles are a $575 investment).

Any opinions are welcome!

yes,it would put less stress on one axle by putting some of the torque on the other axle. what model car do you have.

00' Prelude with a fully custom turbo(T3/T4e ceramic BB) . Motor is at JG now getting complete build up from top to bottom. Using a Hondata stage 4b system with 720 cc injectors- plan to run about 18 psi daily with a full customer 3" exhaust and open atm. WG dump. Plan to run about 400-450 wHP- but since I am going to be hardly ever dragging, and do not plan to ever invest in slicks, will I really need straonger axleS(I know that the Ludes axles are pretty strong as it is)?

I would not invest in axles if you use the car the way you are describing. Although what you should be worried about is the people you sent your motor to. My B16A2 and my brothers H22 were both screwed by JG! Hey I wish you the best with those people! Check out this link about them, and do a search on this forum about them.
DON'T USE JG, THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER......TRUST ME!!!! http://www.superhonda.com/forum/show...5&pagenumber=1
Check that out!
We'll good luck man!
