Factory flywheel with 450 + hp?
Anyone in here with 450 + hp? Any problem so far? If you run 11's or faster , Will the track official make you take the tranny for inspection( )? to see if you run aftermarket flywheel.

this isn't based on experience but I think that the OEM would be able to take the added hp. it's not so much as the horsepower that would hurt it but the clutch. but in the end it still goingt o depend on the horsepower for what clutch application your are goingt o use. my M flywheel holds up great and I'm at 309 at the wheels. there's a big difference between 309 and 450 hp. the chromoly flywheels tend to develop spider cracks. a lightened OEM is definitely not a good idea because they are prone to explosion. I can't imagine what will happen with around 450 on tap.

i agree. i'm not running 450+ but the oem quality is impressive when least expected. i'd stick with the factory flywheel.

Basically I'm looking for something to hold 450 + hp. Everyone I talked to run stock flywheel with 200-350hp range with no problem. On last thing, who make flywheel that can hold the power I want and weight around 12-15 pounds. I dn't want no light weight flywheel. By the way, I;m going for clutchnet clutch.
