Factory boost...need suggestions...
Hey guys....thinking about buyin a new car. 90+ 300ZX TT or Mitsu 3000GT VR-4...gotta be one of the two. What do you guys think...both performance wise and just in general? I want it to be fast, comfortable and more reliable than my Civic.

300ZX by far, the VR4 is slow as hell, I was able to beat those off of 40 punch at 8psi before, they are very very heavy.
my friend's GS-T with exhaust and IC pipe upgrade was beating the VR4's by 1 car length on average....same driver's skills

well yeah, the 300ZX is not as advance as the VR4, the VR4 has a lot of technology, incluiden AWD and 4 wheel steering, if you don't care anout things like these go to the nissan, but let me advise you that the nissan is very hard to improve because the space is very tight inside the hood, sport compact car did a very interesting high performance one, they even use coatings from swain and various stuff, is your call.

They are both pretty heavy. The zx is maybe 200 pounds lighter, if that. Maybe around 3700-3900 pounds for the vr4. They do make lots of horsies though...

I know a guy with a Galant V4 and he took the all-wheel steering off, it is apparently a gimmicky feature for people who can't drive AWD, however, is nice.

Definately the Z. No other import can compare with the look of it. Also very good for embarassing those pesky Supras. I had a VR-4 for about 6 monthes then I sold it and bought a cheap ole' Honda for $200 (My '90). The VR-4s have a lot of tranny and computer problems. At least mine did. It handled great even over 120 which suprised me for how big it is. I still say the Z. No other import can claim such great heritage. Except for an Rotary Mazda.

1st off the 300zx TT ran low 14's at best.. and it is not light when compared to the 3KGT.. both are boats and can make a load of power.. but the 300zx is easier to upgrade .. have u ever seen the engine bay of a 3kgt the turbos are placed in the most annoying areas..but if I would choose a Japanse super car I would rather choose a RX-7 ot supra over either of those cars..but I would rather choose the 300z over the 3kgt..due to it's ability to make the driver feel more in control..the 3kgt steering never truly allows u to have total response and feedback from the vechile compared to most of the japanese super cars.. just my .02 cents.. choose what u will.. you'll be driving it good luck civicturbo
