A friend of mine just finished turboing his 91 Accord LX. He's using pretty much a full DSM turbo setup, turbo, SMIC, charge pipes, etc...At first we ran an SAFC hack with an SAFC II and 450cc injectors, leaned out all the way (50%) it was still running EXTREMELY rich. At first when leaned out to 35% it would not throw a MAP code, but it had a really bad throttle response and it would load up. We switched back to stock injectors and set the SAFC back to 0% across the board. Now the problem is when you drive it under heavy throttle or load, it throws a MAP code. The boost is only hitting 6psi also. Today we put in a MBC today and that is working correctly. Any suggestions, I'm an N/A guy and haven't messed with too much turbo stuff. Thanks.
