whats the better kit? i don't want to go custom and you can get the fmax with ball bearing so it spools faster. plus the fmax give more power then the drag and also has detontion management. any responces from people with these setups will be greatly appreicated
you can get a ball bearing upgrade with a DRAG kit. FMAX aint all that you think it is. "detonation management? i wouldnt consider a MSD 6BTM exactly detonation management... nor 2 extra injectors and the mf2 "fuel management". especially for the price...
just do some research and buy some used pieces like intercooler pipes and **** like that.....u will save a hell of a lot of money
ohh and Drag sucks unless u like to overboost and swap out manfiolds because theirs crack

The only time people really have trouble with boost creep on drag kits is with a full 3'' dp and exhaust. As for cracking manifolds, that has been a bad rumor for a long time.

does anyone have a f-max they run at higher psi? I wanna know what has the best parts if i know already fmax manifold is better then the drag but aren't they the same turbo? both hybrid t3/t4 just the added management is nicer.

exactly....I run and so most other turbod hondas run 3in exhausts........
and if the drag manifold cracking issue is just a rumor how come I have a couple friends with fucked up cracked drag manifolds siiting around????

I guess i just got lucky then?
Yea I heard drag 3 manifolds are more prone to cracking and boost spiking...
My rev hard is old (used for 20-30k, cause I bought it used) not cracked, and at 8psi and 2.5 DP and full 3" exhaust I get NO SPIKE whatsoever, and never heard of anyone with a rev-hard mani getting spikes....
Spikes I hear are more prone to manifold design then anything else, because of where the wg is mounted etc... air blow out too fast past the wg to the turbo before the wg gets to see the pressure and in turn causes the turbo to spin past the desired setting.
Drag 3 kit with hondata and rev hard mani =

I think the rev hard is a much better designed manifold than the fmax. I would recommend the rev hard...no cracks or boost spikes (unless you have a deltagate as they always seem to spike).
Looks like pretty good deal, but what it really comes down to is how good everything fits. There are so many kits out there that don't fit good and are ugly.
anyone know if another brand downpipe will fit with my fmax manifold/t3-t04E turbo? i'm sick of the stupid wastegate slipjoint letting exhaust out of it.
its a stupid design that way. anyone have any remedy to that? I hate to use a c clamp on the hard steel it may crack.

If it's a slip joint than a clamp is the only way to fix the leak. If it still leaks, the slip joint is probably too loose and you might have to get it redone.. In that case though you might as well just use flanges.

Forget the f-max vs drag wars, whatever! I have the fmax and am happy with the end result. I didn't get the extra injectors and mf2 and had them make my dp open loop. The quality of the kit is very good. the dp is 2.5", has a 12" flex section on it, it has the right flange to bolt to the cat. the intercooler pipes fit perfectly. The problem I had was f-max's service was horriable. They sent me the wrong downpipe and inncorect spec turbo. they wouldn't send me the new parts until I sent them the wrong ones back
! This caused my running car to sit on jacks for 2 weeks until i finally got the parts back.
