F#@*ing POS BlockGuards......
My short story of this POS GE blockguard.
I read the post about these and they said that it needs a to be filed down in some areas and that it should fit fine.
but the GE blockguard does not want to go in. After 2 hours of sanding with a palm sander and with the dremel i still can not get that POS to fit.
when I first put it in only the back side wants to go in. So I sanded the front. then test fitted, need to sand some more, and more, and more and more and more, (you get the picture)
**** just does not fit so screw that POS. Wasted my MF money on this crap. My hands are all cut and I am so ******* pissed.
I will not be one of those people against blockguards cause they are a pain in the *** to put in.

You need to have a machine shop install it, its not something that is DIY unless you have a deckplate and can heat the block up to opperatin temp and then hone the cylinders.... sorry you had such bad luck with it...

Re: (TeStUdO)
weird i got mine in after about 30 min of using a metal file. then i used a 1/4in punch with a soft mallet and tapped the blockguard in. and I DID USE FORCE lol.
after that i took the block to machine shop and got the block honed and decked.
the machinist told me that cylinders were slightly out of round when he checked. but aftet honing the cylinders he checked after to see if i would need to bore and the cylinders were in perfect roundness. i have about 4000 miles of high boost with no problems. keep trying dont give up.
oh yea i did not have mine welded in. i left it tapped in place.

Mine slipped right in after two hours of filing and sanding.. just find the points on the BG where it's not slipping in and file, rinse and repeat.

Re: (USDM 4G VTEC)
Installed one for a friend. About 10min of sanding with a air sander, it slipped right into place with little to no effort. . No problems at all with the GE guard.
