hey. i know to most of you, this might sound dumb, and i've already searched. question is: the psi rating on an external wastegate spring- are we talking about how much of the wasted boost the spring can hold? if so-hypothetically- of someone is running 15 lbs. and their turbo is rated up to 25 lbs., they would need a wastegate that has a 10lbs. of pressure rating, correct? hey- i'm still very much a noob to tuning and FI in general, so don't grill me if i'm totally off the ball here, kay. any useful input is welcomed. thanks.

 

the wastegate spring is the rated pressure before the gate opens.. ex. if i have a 10 lb spring my wastegate opens at roughly 10 psi and dumps .u can also change the settings with a boost controller. hope this helps
