Default Experienced Tuners : Does this make sense......

my current dyno was 477 whp @23 psi(cam gears dialed in0. then dynoed the car at 14 psi and made 320 whp. played with the cam gears and made 342 whp. re-dynoed at 23 psi and the power was 455 whp. thereoically , shouldn't my power go up?

When you are dialing in the cam gears you are dialing in the overlap between the intake and exhaust cam. You want to dial out the overlap in boost so you can retain the maximum amount of compressed air into the combustion chamber and still retain the ability to pull through the residual left from the previous combustion exhaust stroke. If you adjusted your cam gears at a certain psi level, then went to a higher psi level on the same cam gear setting you are more than likely to lose power. If you putting more comressed air into the engine, you might need to allow for a bit more blow-by to reduce the residual from the previous exhaust stroke. Adjusting the cam gears to a certain psi level will guarentee you making power at that psi level, if you are boost higher dont count on the same setting to work.
