Exhuast problems......ugh
Well, 2 weeks after mine turbo is installed I finally get the time to take my car to the muffler shop and have the exhaust attched to my downpipe. Before the exhaustis attached I built boost at 2500 or less, now it doesn't start build until 3500, and the car feels overall sluggish.........Now I know I need a bigger exhaust, i'm just wanting opinions.
Here is how my setup looks
2.5" DP -> 2.5 to 2.25 reducer --> old header exhaust flange -> old DX cat -> 2.25" exhaust ----> 2.25" flowmaster muffler ---> exit
I'm thinking that the "bottle-neck" is at my cat and flange for my exhaust......does everyone agree? If I push my car hard, the exhuast whales like a banshee, the only other time i've heard to do that it when I tried to use the stock HF exhaust on my LS motor.........

Your DX cat is killing you. Get a high flow replacement, then all you have to worry about is boost spikes.
My Si cat is killing me too, but I need to get before and after numbers to see what it is doing to me.

Yeah, running open header I had some boost spikes.......Man the DX cat is killing me, makes a neat-o sound though
.......I was planning on stopping by a local speed shop today and picking one up........$50 for a focuz high flow cat......Injust need to get it welded/flanged on after that.......
