Default Exhaust brake for e cutout?

I've been hearing problems lately about ecutouts falling apart. Why couldn't you just use a exhaust brake like the ones used on big diesels. Those things must be stronger then what is currently offered.

You could probably use one of those. But I would be willing to bet that even with it fully closed it will bypass quite a bit of air.

I thought about making one using an old stripped throttle body and a little 12v solenoid. I wired one up to pop my trunk on my old gti. as long as it had about 1.5"-2" of pull. Might try something!

I bet those exhaust brakes are expensive. or atleast the banks ones! tough stuff though!

an exhaust brake doesnt completely close the exhaust off... it just puts a large restriction on the motor... If you took a diesel like that and closed the exhaust completely, the motor would GRENADE itself...

Let me give another chili reference.... Eat 3 bowls of 3 mile island chili, wait about 3 hours and shove a cork up your ***... Whats gonna happen when you try to let that fart out? Its gonna try, but aint gonna let go, and blow a hole in the side of your *** trying.
