Excessive Blow-by - Built 83mm block
Setup is a 83mm Bensons sleeved, Earl Laskey assembled LS block. Eagle rods, CP Pistons and rings, ACL bearings, and new oil/water pump/timing belt.
Approx 2000 Kilometers (1250 miles). No boost whatsoever for the first 800K then 15 PSI since with Hondata and 720's.
I removed the PCV valve and plugged the bung from the manifold, so the block can breathe under boost.
Also, the valve cover breather is a hose running to the ground.
At idle, I can see the blow-by coming out the valve cover breather, and after a hard run, my hood has a fresh coating of "rustproofing: LOL (it comes out the hole where the PCV Valve was originally installed and blows right up to the hood.
Is this normal?

might wanna do a compression check, and check with whoever tuned it and make sure they didnt dick up the tune.

Re: Excessive Blow-by - Built 83mm block (Slick GS-R)
Absolutley. He built my motor. I started it up with a wideband, and it was bouncing from 14.5-14.9.
I drove it like that with no boost for 500 miles (800K) and then tuned it to 15 PSI. There was hardly no blow-by at all on the dyno, but it's been getting worse and worse by the week since.
Not a happy camper.

do a leakdown and let me know the results. if it is smoking, a ring or piston could be hurt. tuning first before break in is so critical, even without boosting. too rich can be as bad as too lean also.

man o man....i did the EXACT same thing even down to running to hose to the ground to hide the smoke. it's gonna get worse...MUCH MUCH WORSE. it was my rings and i ran it until they just gave out and the car wouldn't turn over.

The tune was fine. I had a wideband on it since start-up. Numbers were perfect.
After the dyno, numbers were pretty much identical, and under WOT boost, it hangs around 10.8-11.4.
Head comes off this weekend. We'll see what's going on.

It was hooked up at first, because there was never any boost to the motor.
It was disconnected on Dyno day.
