I am about to upgrade my exhaust to a 3" catback as of right now it's 2 1/4" I have a quicktime exhaust cutout before the cat. It has a Y ipe that splits off on one end where the cutout is.It recently stopped working and since I am about to get the exhaust redone my question is... Is the Y pipe(since it is blocked off at the end) creating a decent amount of backpressure since it is right off the downpipe? Should I just have it removed and weld in 3"from the end of the downpipe?
