Im not turbo illiterate.. I guess you could say i know the basic's.. Alright, I need to know (on a technical aspect) what the purpose of a larger diameter exaust serves on a turbo vehicle.

I know thing like better flow..ect. But i have been hearing lately about turbo vehicles such as a d16 del sol (10psi), and some others cars running on the stock exaust system. I thought it would be bad for the turbo and motor to run on the stock exaust, but i could be wrong.

So basically i want to know the role it plays in a turbo set up, and its importance. Also, would it be bad to not have a turbo exaust??
