Hey guys I just wanted some insight from you guts about my car. I have a 99 accord V6 cpe. My car idles from 1500-2000 rpm, and i can feel the car gear hunt. When i come to a stop with the car in gear its revvin at 1100, put it in neutrel it jump from 1500-2000 repeatedly. Tried to reset the ecu, still does the same thing, any ideas thanks.

 

Never been around a V6, but this is some of the causes for a 4 cylinder idle to act-up...

Check your coolant level, trapped air will cause the ECT sensor to send bogus siganls to the ECU.

Check for fitmit of vacuum hoses, or a vacuum leak of some kind in the system.

Try re-setting the idle, it may have fallen out of spec.

Just some thoughts...

 

check the harness plug to the TPS sensor, it may be loose. Also check the ground on your ignitor, if it sounds like cutting/missing out..

Checked the vacume lines and the harness are all tight, anythin else?
