Default Engine management options?

I have a 2000 Civic EX and I want to boost. What engine management options do I have to make it run right, and SAFE. I really don't want to convert to OBD1 but not set in stone about that. I see a lot of Fuel computers, but what about timing. Open to many options. Tell me what you know, what you like and don't like. Thanks for your time.

I would add E-manage Ultimate, to the OBD2 set.

For those with loot on OBDI, also add

Autronic
Motec
Techcom, these are all standalones though.

AEM is not obd2, they have obd2 plugs but aren't obd2 compatable
