Default Engine management options???

I've done all the research and know about all of that uberdata and crome stuff, but am curious if there are any other options?

I kinda am itching towards more stand alone type stuff, not worried about cost just reliability and performance.

One option was to run an MSD boost timing master with a safc2, if anyones running a set up similar to this that has any opinons towards it i would like to hear it?

Ill be running a t3/t04E 57 trim .63 a/r if anyone has suggestions i would appreciate it.

Les see....you have...

Turboedit
Uberdata
Crome
Hondata
Neptune
AEM
Greddy Emanage
Haltech
FAST
Motech

Thats all i can think of right now...but you have many options...most popular is Crome, Hondata and Neptune...Do some research on each and find what you need and want pertaining to your setup! Each has its ups and downs...but they have the same goal...

i run crome pro and the car runs like stock. but if money is no object, aem is still one of the best. but i think the best bang for the bucks right now def crome pro.

but the BEST of the factory ecu based EM systems is Neptune, hands down

Pretty awful. For whatever you could get the afc for you could probably get a wideband and rock Crome.

I could, but the point is for the time being i dont know how to run a program like that. This would just hold me off untill i could get a better set-up. I was just curious if it would work for awhile?

I say don't even start with something like a safc and MSD box.

Jump right into the chipped ecu format, you won't regret it. It is relatively easy to tune and if you contact a tuner near you, they can help you out. And don't forget

If price isn't an option why would you even consider that safc ****?

I am just kidding.

I have actually built a few of those things. And planned on using it on my RX7. I almost had it installed, then went another direction.

They are very good.

But in all honesty, there is no point when you have a good stock code editor.

Megasquirt is awesome...but you have to be a freakin genius to tune it. You pretty much have to make a full wiring harness from scratch and write up the entire ecu yourself. Its pretty nuts, a guy i know used it for his supra, kids hella smart and took him over a month just to tune it.

No you dont have to be a genius. Just find someone who has tuned it before.
