Engine cleaning fluid & Assembly Lube preference?
I’m about to start prepping all my engine parts for re-assembly and wanted to know what does everyone prefer to use to clean all the internal engine parts with.
Example (Simple green, brake parts cleaner, ect… ect)
Also what does everyone like for assembly lube?
Example (slick 50, KY Jelly, ect… ect)
Thanks

Brake cleaner, arp assembly lube
And yes I used that to clean my head, I poured it into a cooler diluted it some with water and soaked the head overnight. If u decide to use that stuff be sure and I mean be sure u dilute it. If u don't it will eat the aluminum. Its basically like acid. First time I used this and soaked a head the next day the aluminum had small white deposits all over it in the nooks and crannys that looked like salt where it started causing a reaction. If u use it right it works wonders tho. It will take all the soot from the exhaust ports out of the head and leave the head looking brand new. An old tooth brush will also help break up any grime while it soaks.
