Default engine building

ok guys, i am building my B18B, i have the pistons and rods arleady, i am starting to order the valvetrain, but from what i see on ferrea's web site, they dont offer a kit for a b18B, only B16A's... are they all the same? or am i missing something here???

also arp doesnt make main studs for the B18B, but they do for the B18A, are the main studs the same between the two engines??

For valvetrain, try http://www.m24x.com/ and the A and B should use the same mainstuds.

what do you guys think of crowers valvetrain??

they offer dual valve springs in the street verion and the race version... what do you guys reccomend for my plans... sleeved block, pauter rods, 9.5:1 cp pistons, sc61... looking for 400 whp, street driven.... which springs will be stiff enough?

your springs should be whatever your camshaft is set too. If your going to run stock cam, then there is no need to upgrade the valve spring. If you don't have a high lift then you don't need the dual valve spring. I ran the stage 2 turbo cams from crower. Which needed the duel valve spring. if you have the money run darton's sleeve. I didn't, so i ran golden eagle which is also really good.

yes, most of the aftermarket valve springs are a dual spring set.
