ok guys so first off, ill let u know im putting this thread in FI forum becuase this is where i spend all my time, and the car is an FI car...
So with that outa the way, i have a boosted b16 in my civic, and im wanting about 400whp outa the car daily, not really beaten on but seeing full boost at least twie a day...
The turbo setup:
-AFI ramhorn mani
-garrett t3t04e 60 trim .82 hot side
-injector clinic 550cc injectors (might replace)
-large cored ebay fmic
-custom piping by me
-3"dp and exhaust by me
-tial 38mm wg and 50mm bov
-devils own base water/alky kit
ok so right now the car is apart and im debating on the build, i have a set of new srp pistons sitting here and im thinking of using stock rods w/arp bolts...
so it would be the above turbo setup w/ the following:
-srp pistons (.020 over, and 9.1:1 comp in a gsr, not sure what that comes out to in a b16, but i need to look it up)
-stock rods w/ arp bolts
-arp headstuds
-new gaskets and seals
would that hold 400whp daily? id be taking it to somewhere around stock redline, i guess wherever it stops making power, i think 8400 being my limit really...
i also have access to some brand new skunk2 stage 2 turbo cams, with springs and retainers for DIRT price, would those be helpful in my setup? im sure they would be just curious as to how much???
anyway, so the main question is, will stock b16 rods w/arp bolts hold 400whp daily on meth? and if it will, will it hold it without meth?

i understand that their isnt really a "safe" zone for this... its all in the tune...
but what brakes rods? im under the impression it takes rpm or detonation???

If you increase the power, you are increasing the pressure in the cylinder. Which, in turn is putting more pressure down on your piston, thus onto the rod. Can they hold 400 maybe, but you should be putting in aftermarket.
