Default Engine build almost done...(pics)

This is the engine for my 87 CRX Si. It's a D series hybrid built around an 87 Integra (D16A1) block, 89 Integra DOHC head, JDM ZC cams, etc.

Full details are here --> http://www.muller.net/sonny/crx/headassembly

Feedback/advice/insults are welcome.

I'm shooting to make 225 to 250 whp with this engine. I think that should be pretty doable. I did post the block with some help from Endyn. I know the engine can easily make the power. I'm more concerned about the strength of the diff.

I believe sonny used posting rods made of alumium, and torqued them into the sleeves only a few inch pounds. You can see the grey epoxy in the first pict where the posts are located. I don't have to remind Sonny to keep the updates coming. He never disappoints!

Mama said it's not nice to ask.

Seriously, this engine has been a bargain all things considered.

The whole engine was 99 bucks at Pick N Pull and I can get them all day long. That's why I chose it. It bolts right into the 1st gen CRX and is a smog-legal swap in California.

Pistons were $540 from Endyn. I got the rods on a group buy for $275. Posting it cost me about $175. New ACL bearings were $100. Fully balanced bottom end was $140. Oil pump + water pump + timing belt + gaskets was like another $200. ARP studs were $100. There's about $250 in machine shop labor.

So, so far I have about $1750 in the engine including the cost of the engine.

For reference, just the motor mount kit and custom axles required to put a B series engine into this car would cost $1000.
