Default Engine Build

I am planing to build up a B16 and want to run a 100-150 shot of nos on it. What kind of pistons and rods are recomended? Do I need a girdle for the bottom end? What about the insert that goes between the water jackets to make it a closed deck? I want to build it right and get a long life out of the motor. I'm not taking any short cuts.

Just FYI, I've run a wet 100 shot on a stock LS using race gas before. Get a set of good rods and pistons, and run it wet and I don't think you'll have a problem as long as you get your tuning right.

really any aftermarket pistons with a good set of rods will do the trick. you can also either get your block sleeved or find a decent block guard to fit your motor. 150shot direct port system is the way to go. As long as you have the fuel you should be okay.

Thanks. I planed on running a wet kit with either a direct port system or a gsr head with gsr intake and plate system. Which is better? Also, does anyone recomend a good brand for pistons, rods, and bearings? Thanks

No need for crower rods...just go with eagle and save yourself a lot of money.
