Hey, I hope you guys can give me some insight on the problem I'm having. First some background information on my setup. I have a turbo'd b16 with a VAFC hack setup. Everything on my car was running very good until I did a long high speed run and blew a piston. Anyway I changed the block and put everything back together. Now when I hit it in 4th or 5th the car seems to lose power, but if I let off and get on it again sometimes the power comes back and sometimes it doesn't. Also the boost seems to stay constant so I don't think its the turbo. The engine temperature also rises when I experance this power loss. I really don't know what could be causing this. Is it possable that my timing is to retarded to much, oh and I put a stock cat on the car to do emission testing could this be choking the car. The power loss is very dramatic the car can't even accelerate when it happens I get stuck going 135km. Anyway all feedback is welcome.

 

Check your timing, and did you "tune" it to the new block?
