Default Engine Bay BLACK?!

I have a boosted 2000 civic si with maxrev manifold, on the block next to the 2nd runner on the manifold there is alot of black soot building up, is the gasket messed up?, the manifold is bolted tight and I dont know, but I assume it's leaking, How do I fix this?. TIA

Is your wastegate dumping over your manifold?

my wastegate is dumping out my dumptube under the car, the compressor has plenty of clearance, and I can't feel any air coming out the mani when I turn it on..

bump, need some more insight on this... I drive this car 30 miles a day, it might be hurting my performance, but it seems like my engine is okay and no smoke coming out the rear...

You can use smoke from a cigarette to see if there are any exhaust leaks. It will blow the smoke away.

I would first try a new gasket with copper spray and properly torqued nuts if you do in fact have this leak.
