Yeah yeah, whatever. A long time ago the moderator on hostboard already tried that. He replaced an M45 with the M62. The result - almost identical power was made. No one could explain why though. The only thing the larger M62 unit did was lower intake temps a bit, so I guess you could squeeze out a few more ponies through timing advance.

He may be very knowledgeable, but he's also a douchebag, and that's where he blows it.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> you'll be making more boost, power, and lower temps because the air won't be sitting in the plenum.</TD></TR></TABLE>

What a stupid theory. There has to be a plenum for the air to sit in, that's how FI works...

The plenum basically holds a "reserve" of air. Once the intake valves open, this air "reserve" goes rushing into the cylinder before the intake valves have time to close. Then the charger/turbo will refill the plenum before the next cylinder makes the same cycle.

You know, I don't think it's even an issue of whether or not Endyn's magical 400whp D16 exists, or whether or not they have some magical supercharger that makes 80 bazillion whp at 2psi.

I think the reality of the situation is that Larry himself does not exist. There are no such things as "Larry Widmer" or "Endyn". It's all been a figment of the JRSC guys' imaginations.

It all started back when a bunch of guys blew their life savings on JRSC units, then realized that their cars were still slow. Instead of throwing in the towel, selling their units, and going turbo, they decided to cling onto a small shred of hope; a hope that someday a messiah by the name of "Larry" would come to Earth and create a mechanical charger *so highly advanced* that it would enable their full-weight Civic Dx four-doors rolling on bald Kirkland Signature tires to go skyrocketing into six second quarter mile times.

There is a plenum, it's just that the SC doesn't blow into the side of the plenum, but rather at the runners. Whatever though. I don't even own a jrsc and probably never will.

I guess that I have a magical Endyn head for my TURBO setup that apparently does not exist and I must be tripping off of the mushrooms in my omelet.. Thanks for being so knowledgeable and contributing so much to the Honda-Tech community. Thank you for your infinite wisdom.

Larry did post some photos of those curves about 3-4 years later, the video doesn't do the curves justice.

He has old foot injurys, does a great job of shifting with numb feet.

afterwatching the video, i would be suprized if it had 250whp, anyone that drives and ef has serious traction issues, they suck for that reason, a 275whp i had large wheel spin, i cant imagine how a 400whp ef doesnt just burn up the tires, and yet i hear no tires in that video

Yup...that is true...maybe 220whp if that, but sorry to say but it's not a 400whp car

The reason why he told us he as traction control is because he can't spinn 2nd gear..
