endyn's existence
ok so, ive been looking at theoldone.com site a bunch, and was wondering if anyone knows if they ever released, or are going to release they're supercharger package, i was quite intriuged but am dissapointed in having seen no recent updates on the project. any input would be sweet
the supercharger thing isn't going to happen, too many issues with the patents. larry has more important things to do with his time anyway, like port heads and design pistons and other cool stuff.
actually now i remember there are a small number of d series blower kits being built by them right now... like 10 of them i think? i think they're just going to be manifolds and endyn modified blowers, probably no traction control and ****.

Dont know if I am supposed to say this or not but when I was over there I saw some manifolds being welded up. But they looked to be for the D-series. I saw at least 5 of them or so intake manifolds being mated with the blower.
but me being arturbo, I'd say I like turbos more..

the do how ever modify existing SC systems to work on Honda motors. You might have to put all the fuel management together yourself, but you could talk to them about getting a larger Sc that can do 27psi for your B motor.
The manifolds that Arturbo saw were for ZC's since the mounting flange is different, Larry got enough request's to work up a small batch.
Dealing with patents SUCK, I know what Larry went thru, same **** we tried with the AKSC setup. I think finally agreed that Tim's idea works, I've been getting people asking me questions about it lately.

Send them a semi-intelligent emails and they will respond, promptly I might add:
A number of our customers are spinning clock-wise Eaton's backward, and
while the efficiency isn't as high, they still provide good bang-per-buck.
Right now, the only manifold kits we're doing are for the D series Honda
engines and they are machined for M62's. Boost levels of 20 psi are "easy"
with this combination.

So yes, Larry knows what he's doing. Make a custom manifold where the outlet is pointed straight into the runners and you'll be making more boost, power, and lower temps because the air won't be sitting in the plenum.

endyn makes good parts and fast cars, most of these guys who "think" otherwise are new and just regurgitate whatever they read instead of actually knowing what they say to be a fact.
I hope not to offend some of those who have "extensive" supercharger/turbo experience and know why they suck from the countless hours they spent comparing the two technologies on a dyno and in real world racing. I'm sure they have a good reason for choosing a blower, I dont know why but I'm sure he'll tell you if you ask.
For whatever reason the supercharger never came about, I dont agree entirely that it didnt come about because of patents though...
One of the first things you should do when you invent or discover something is find out if there are any past claims to your "new" technology before you announce or begin to produce it. I'm sure they did that but what would hold up the production has to be beyond patents... we dont know the real reason and it's probably none of our business, it just didnt happen.
It's actually pretty funny to see some of these guys on here say "this manifold, bracket, yadda yadda is patent pending" hah... I dont think i've ever seen anyone have the means/need to get a design patented on honda-tech, aside from mass production companies.
Anyway, that's my opinion on it but regardless, I believe endyn to be one of the best companies and also one of the most helpful. They're professionals, there arent many other honda shops that deserve to be called that...
