Re: endyn intake manifold? (tony1)
kind of reminds me of the old pics of larry's skunk2 ported runners, but he just threw a big ol plemun on it, after cutting off the skunk2 plenum.
either way, i'd be very interested in it.

I thaught harmonics were used to create better efficiency in an intake manifold (i.e. Helmholtz & Co.)? Or am I mixing this up with resonance?

reminds me of the fullrace proto-type.

looks pretty similar to the carbon fibre one only made of aluminium........should be much less than the cost of the CF manifold.

Looks as though the CF are no longer produced for the time being...
Today, stepped-up aerospace contracts have forced AIR to curtail production of their CF manifolds, so we've had to become more "creative" when optimizing manifolding for our head and engine customers.

I thaught harmonics were used to create better efficiency in an intake manifold (i.e. Helmholtz & Co.)? Or am I mixing this up with resonance?</TD></TR></TABLE>
A harmonic is a general term used to describe the mathematical tendancy of a function. def: A wave whose frequency is a whole-number multiple of that of another. resonance is the amplifcation of a funtion. def: The increase in amplitude of oscillation of an electric or mechanical system exposed to a periodic force whose frequency is equal or very close to the natural undamped frequency of the system. I assume much like regular waves the size/shape of the im/runners is changed to either assist (amplify) or cancel other waves, depending on which waves are beneficial and which are detrimental to the desired result. But in this case I think bessel functions (a little different mathematically from a regular sinusodal wave) are the way that these pressure waves propagate. Could be wrong though, wouldn't be the first time.

Re: endyn intake manifold? (biotech0123)
Just spoke to Larry. They have not released the intake manifolds to the public. He is going to be testing a couple this week on engine dyno's and posting the results/information. Will see

Did he say anything about the price on these?
