Default emmisions in MD, take a look

ok so i have to get my emissions done super soon here in md. well i was thinking of getting passed without having to take alot of my **** off and covert to stock. so here is my idea. since im originally 2000 obd2, they would just look for codes. well i converted to obd1. and im thinkin i just go, they will hook it up to the diagnostic port. obviously it wont work. im just gunna be liek the ecu was messed up so i replaced it. there might be something wrong with this 1 where it wont connect to the port. and ill be liek look, i have no codes. you think they will go for that at all?

step one: drive to tempest racing

step two: go to emissions station directly across the street

step three: go get a 2 year exemption and not worry about emissions for another 2 years. 2 options on this....... lower your car if you have coilovers, or pay somebody 20-50 bucks.

ay joe, that works for me. like i said, i wanted you to make me an intake tube before. when i come there, hopefully sometime early september, im goingto put on my new ic piping, probably an intake manifold thermal gasket, and trying to get tuned for 10 psi. and the same day if i could go get my emissions done, that would be sick. you know any1 at the place across from you?

Yeah, i've been getting extensions since I bought my car in 97, then they told me they would suspend my registration if I didnt do it. So I figured I would go again and my car would be too low, and they would wave me off again..... wrong! I limped over the roller and failed horribly

As a matter of fact Joe, after you tune for me, I might run over to the station and twist someones arm.

but liek i said earlier int he post. if i just say look, the port isnt working or something, but obviously i have no codes and thats all they check for in obd2 cars, they will hopefully just pass me and let me on my way. hopefully, i dont know. i mean not hard to convert stuff back, but just would rather not take the time to lol

There not stupid, if the port doesnt work they give you a coupl week extension to go to a mechanical shop and have it looked at. If you havent been getting extensions the last few years, than thats your best bet. Just fab up a really low frt spoiler out of card board or something so you wont clear the roller

if you lie to them and say the port isnt working its going to go downhill from there.

i have a customer here right now that i sent over to the emissions place across the street a couple weeks ago telling him what i said above

he went there and said "im probably not going to pass, how much is this going to cost me?" the guy laughed, sent him in side and he got a 2 year exemption. the place across from us just doesnt care at all, its awesome.

oh yea.....dont forget when you get an exemption, its FREE!

No, it's not all they check for on OBD2 cars.

But do as Joe mentioned and you should be straight.
