So my car is at a local shop that swapped my motor back in the car for me and they also removed chrome and installed Ectune. My car was spose to be done this last friday but they are having trouble with the software. To be exact they said that "the ecu isnt communicating with the car, and that they couldnt burn the basemap on the ecu". Any idea what the issue could be? I have obd1.

 

who was your tuner?

my buddy ran it....i'll admit i never personally have but i saw how it was setup and wasn't too favorable, i know he didn't care for it

i love my aem ems....but i would still say, as a personal preference, crome &gt; ectune

to the OP, what "trouble" were they having exactly?

 

You buddy ran it, Single car? or Tuner verion? single car is just out a few days as pre-release. So i think it's BS. Maybe tried to tune a car with datalogger version?

 

i know it's out as a pre-release...he had some goofy diy datalogger deal

 

nobody has the diy. It's not out yet.
Only datalogger(can't do anything but log)

i still stand that i wasn't impressed

no need to go getting sand in your vajayjay because you're associated with ectune or like to rep them
