Emissions trouble ???
Would it be possible to install the e-cutout before the turbo on the manifold?I know that everyone is using cutouts these days, but did someone tried this?
I was thinking that it should be installed before the flange, and then make the part of the header where the four tubes meet a bit longer,so you could weld a 2,25 inch pipe on that extendened part above the flange. And then run the 2,25 to your exhaust.
I think this setup should pass emission tests, because the gases would still be hot when they get to the cat.You could still use a 3 inch downpipe and an exhaust with a cat.
I’m not saying that it should be an equal lenght AC compatible mani, but it would be nicer.
Geoff,Thinker and everyone else, what do you think?

factory turbo cars have been known to pass emissions, "modified" cars can pass too

Do you have some kinda kit or costum setup?
What are the smog regulation like in the US?I know that people in cali are having problems with it.
About the manifold,is it doable or would it hurt performance badly?

what do you really have to do to pass i.e. air fuel ratio etc... im worried that i will fail with my car when i get rid of my greddy blue box and get an apexi safcII i might be able to reregister my car elsewhere in my state so that i dont have to go to emissions but if i cant i will need to go and obviously need to pass.
