Default Emissions inspection in NJ

Is there a way to pass inspection in NJ? I mean besides the obvious method of paying the guy off. Is there a legit way to pass inspection without taking the turbo off? Someone posted that he passed inspection by leaning out the car a bit helps. I need some help from guys in NJ with FI cars. Thanks.

There is no visual in NJ (at least not the last time I was tested before turbo). I am just concerned with emissions.

It's not that I am against it, but would've done something simple if it would get me passed. I guess I have to pay someone (I am not cheap I was just wondering if there was a legal way of doing it). I am in north jersey, you know a place?

This is what I'm doing in june. Put stock injectors back in, take AFC out, go to a private place, they skip over all visual crap, and I figure I should have no problem passing emissions with a stock fuel system (cept the walbro fuel pump). I mean I have a 3" exhaust, but I DO have a cat soo......

Its not like this is f-ing CALI or something :D

Last time I got my car inspected in NJ (1 year ago), I passed the emissions part with the turbo ON. If you can get the dyno operator to go easy on the throttle and not spool the turbo then you should be able to pass with no problem.

The visual is a different story.

Is there a visual now? Two years ago when I had my car inspected, there was no visual. It was at an Exxon gas station. I didn't have turbo at the time. I guess it would be easier just to pay someone. Too much hassel to remove parts.

Like the man said I wouldn't worry about the visual, just go anywhere but the DMV, they will find something stupid to fail you for, they love that crap.

If this guy passed WITH his turbo on, then all you have to do is goto a private place, and tell the dyno operator to go easy on the throttle, which shouldn't be too hard... I mean you are PAYING them like around $80 or so to do the inspection.
