EMERGENCY!! need help with OBD2a to OBD1 harness ASAP
Hey!
I have someone over here to install Hondata and DSM injectors with resistor box.
Its a 2001 GSR. We got the OBD2 to OBD1 harness but the B version by mistake.
We spent 3hrs rewiring the thing based on the standard wiring diagram on this website http://www.jdmfan.com/technical/perf...obd1/index.inc
It matches to the diagrams in the Helms manual. Only addition was the GSR manifold solenoid for the runners. We checked it over 2 times and it looks correct!
Every time we try to run the harness with the P72 OBD1 ECU we blow the 15A PGM-FI fuse under the hood. Seems to be ok with the stock ecu. Problem is we need the conversion to run the new 450cc injectors/Hondata.
Does anyone have a harness that they can compare with ours? If so, call me as soon as you can 570-888-8740
Or point me in the direction of another schematic!
thanks
Torin

Re: EMERGENCY!! need help with OBD2a to OBD1 harness ASAP (01geeser)
actually, you would think so but some of them still used the obd2a harness. Hondata's website says this too:
http://hondata.com/adapters.html
looking at the harness we are facing it matches the obd2a version!
why do we keep blowing the PGMFI relay fuse? Could it be his inline pump that blows with the new ecu and not the old one?

PROBLEM SOLVED!!
was a short between 2 leads on the harness (the power and ground to the ECU!!!)
well, thats a day of pulling my hair out over.
