Default electronics for a turbo

ok i plan on getting a simple turbo kit from either greddy or drag. and i know alot of you are running the aem ems or hondata. the thing is i dont want to spend alot of extra money on something that is not necessarly needed for my car. i dont plan on boosting over 9psi. i will probably keep it even lower than that. so do you think i could just get by for tuning purposes with a safc and the fmu that is with the kit or should i get the aem ems or hondata?

the hidden cost in stand-alone is not the cost of the standalone itself, often about a grand, but the tuning costs. You may not have the software/ability to tune your setup....

PPL have boosted 8PSI on the greddy blue-box fuel managment, there is more power to be made elsewhere, but the blue box should keep you motor from shooting through your hood.

and the AFC hack, put some control at your fingertips, for a reasonable price, and it has the best support EVER!

Hrm. You're in NC, maybe J.Davis would do a little custom chip action, he's from NC, and a ******* genius. And he'd probably save you money over a full-blown stand-alone...

Do your research first, it's not fair asking him questions that have already been covered dozens of times, he's a busy guy, and his talents are much better spent doing more important things, than answering basic questions, that don't even really have anything to do with tuning.

Decide on a setup, and he can save you money over hondata or EMS, if he's doing tuning...
