Default ELECTRONICS question for boost, ls/vtec

Hey.. I'm new here, but not new to the honda engines. I've never boosted before, but I'm planning a bit of a boneyard project for the successor in my '90 integra. I have an old b18a that ran just fine and I was given a Garrett TBO363 (T3 w/ internal wastegate). My plan is to use the Golden Eagle mfg. conversion kit to fit a b16a head (yet to be acquired) on it and go turbo. The putting stuff together is simple for me, but I have a couple electronics specific questions for this setup:

1. Since I want to avoid splicing crap into my wiring harness for the vtec, can i just run a wire through the firewall to an Apex'i V-AFC and keep vtec control out of the corresponding b16 ecu?

2. What should I use for boost control? Looking for cheap, as that's really the name of the game in this boost.

Initially, I wanted to go for sick boost, but since the turbo was free and only handles lower horsepower, I figured I'd just make the whole thing cheap and easy.

You can use uberdata. Disable vtec in it and you can also use it for tuning if that is what you mean by boost control.

you could do that...or id sell the vafc...buy a p28 ecu...wire up the 2 wires for vtec....use the extra change for a lc-1 kit and tune the biatch...for lil to no more cost...you have a tuneable setup w/ a wideband

Looking for useful posts here, please. I know that most boost stuff is not cheap, but I got the motor and the turbo for free and I have no time limit here, so.. I'll take as much "less expensive" as possible.

As far as the 'what do you mean by boost?" part.. I mean boost. Turbo.

LC-1 comment.. thanks for the info. I am looking for very basic, though. After terrible experience with wiring a b18 to '91 civic hatch swap, I'm not sure I want to enter into that realm. If anyone can point me towards a howto for wiring the ls/vtec I want to do, I'd love to look.
