Im starting to see more anD more Electronic turbo on ebay. I think 12v is not a lot of power for a turbo. Do they run like **** H-t members?

Actually, I have heard of a car running 4-5psi on an electric turbo/supercharger. I saw the unit for sale on ebay. It wasn't a crappy little PC cooling fan, either. It used the compressor side of a turbo and was powered by a 96volt model airplane motor. I looked up the motor online (forgot the name) but it was some pretty hardcore ****. I'm not sure how the guy powered it on his car, but I'd completely believe that. The problem is that you have to hack up a turbo to make it so, it's a novelty.

 

yeah, technically, you could get it to work, i thought about doing it a couple years ago. You need a high powered motor, and if its done right, it wont consume more power, than a regular old subwoofer amp.

 

Last summer I was really jonesin' to do this, I thought it would be a really good novelty set-up to be boostin about 5psi whenever I wanted; low-end like a supercharger, but not always boosting like a turbo...but, I realized it's much better to just go with a turbo because of the limited boost.
