Ok, i swapped a b18b in my 97 civic ex, and it ran good til last friday when my alternator died on me, so i replaced the alternator, and now im getting a ELD code 20 (electronic load detector) and i dont know how to fix it, do you have any ideas?
and the alternator will not charge the battery at all, i charge it with a regular charger and then the car runs but the battery ends up dying

your replacement alternator is bad, or the battery is bad. I've seen both cause that problem. Have them both tested

Is your speedo acting weird at all? Check the VSS/ALT fuse under the dash. When mine was out, my speedo would be erratic,a nd my alternator wouldn't charge my battery. I went thru 3 batteries and 2 alternators before I found out the problem was a 10c fuse

You see and easy fix. Did you check your fuel pump relay?

My eld came up also when my fuse was burnt. But, my fuse was fried in the first place because my o2 sensor wires were crossed. So, i'd check out your wiring buddy before replacing ure fuel pump or something.
