Default Electrical problems, Vehical speed sensor help please!

There are a couple of sensors coming off the tranny and I'm not sure which one is the VSS, I pulled the one that had the three prongs like madskillz and falcongsr said, but they look fine. I think I might just have to get a new sensor for like a $100, doh! Also, my tachometer just went crazy and died too. I get the srs and check engine light. My battery keeps dying from these problems also. These are some very unexpected things that I wasn't prepared for, so any advice would be much appreciated.

Damn you have all sorts of probs that sucks. On the VSS sensor take the thing out and make sure none of the prongs are broken. The clip maybe ok, but the prongs that go into it may be broken, that is what happened to me. As for your other problems, other people could help you out better than I could.

Alright, here are the codes:
20 - Electrical load detector circuit
41 - Heated Oxygen Sensor
65 - Secondary Heater Oxygen sensor circuit

why didn't i check the codes before , still new to this.

Ok, a couple days ago my speedometer just died on the highway. The day after, my battery died. After that, I replaced the battery and today the car died again. Jumped the car to drive it home and the tachometer went crazy and died. I think when I installed the intercooler I must have messed up the o2 sensor connections that I soldered a while back. Then, that must have messed up the electrical load dectector (not sure what or where that is) and shorted out my gauges?

This is on a 1999 EX civic w/44000 mi.

I thought it was the VSS cause my speedometer died, but i guess not.

Oh crap, I just raised the car and checked the o2 sensor. The sensor wires were straight up ripped off from the o2 sensor. I guess when I installed the intercooler piping it moved the o2 sensor wires (that I had to lengthen for the 92-95 Greddy kit) and it got caught under and wrapped around the axel boot? I don't know if that's the right term, but anyways, it cut the rubber boot and axel grease is everywhere. this is sad and frustrating.

I had the same problem on an older motor setup. I replaced the ELD as well as installed a new alternator. Turns out it was just a blown 7.5amp fuse for the ELD/VSS/Alternator circuit. Check it, i had the exact same symptoms you just described. HTH
