Default electric oil sender????

I just recently installed my turbo, the other I was boosting and the oil

pressure gauge just dropped all of sudden. Tested the gauge and it

works , what would be the problem causing that the oil sending

unit to go bad that fast. Just bought new sender, hopefully that's the

problem.

any suggestion Phantom electrical gauge 100psi

is the sender grounded properly? if u installed with a metal bracket holding the sender to the body of the car the unit should be automatically grounded, but otherwise you have to ground the unit itself to work properly or it'll go wacky. i had a metal bracket that screwed into the firewall and it held the sender, and when i first installed it wasn't grounded well until i adjusted it a bit.

If you haven't done this, I'm willing to bet my life this is your problem. other than that, it wouldn't be your sender that is broken, it would be your gauge......

The sender goes down to 15 and at full throttle it goes past 100 b/c of the turbo

don't understand what you mean, isn't it grounded when I screw it into

the block . Why would I have to put two ground to make it work, it

worked fine before I had the turbo.

autometer suggests NOT to screw the sender into the block and mount it on the firewall.. im having some issues w/ my sender and need to get a bracket and attempt to ground it better.. i know i have good oil pressure for right now, but once i get it tuned everything will be working correctly!

How is it going to read pressure if it's mounted on the firewall

If you don't have one, add a multi-meter to your tool box - $20 at sears and you can answer all your questions regarding grounding and many other electrical gremlins that'll pop up.

yo i'm pist, last night I was driving normal for the first time. Then the car sputters, I pulled over. The f@cking oil feed line fitting broke from the block, I waited two weeks for that peice from Tuner Toys to hook my turbo up and what do you know, it's the first one to go.

Sorry, I was tired last night when I got off working a 13 hour day, and I wanted to know if oil leaked out when you pulled the old oil sensor. I don't know how old you are but you need to grow up.

How EXACTLY did you have it hooked up? Did you have the sender screwed into the tuner toys adapter which was screwed into the block??
