electic exhaust cutout

is running open exhuast that much of a differnce i am goign to have a 88 hatch with 14b turbo boosting psi with 2.25 exhuast .i want to get bigger but don;t ahve the funds should i jsut buy on of these sna diwht the flcik of a switch have stait dp only thanks
