Default EGT probe in which runner?

#1 for better accuracy or #4 because it will run lean?

It doesn't matter which position its in, it has to do with which cylinder the Stock Intake Manifold has a tendency to dump the most air into.

Which is #3.

i have gathered that the water flows from #1-->#4 cylinder, so obviously the farther the water goes, the hotter it gets, but since #4 is on the outside of the block, it dissipates heat a little better so #3 actually ends up being the hottest one, therefor delivering the highest EGT reading

edit: from what superdave says.....i dont know if what i said is true, this is just what i have seen people post on here before..

typically #3 runs hotter but if you have had port work to the head it may be different, with standalone you can tune this problem out by individual cyl fuel/spark correction
