You want it on runner #3. As close to the head as you which is harder with these manifolds. Interesting your WG is flanged to go towards the pass side. Is that a Lovefab mani?

if you need an EGT bung I have an extra one... it's shorter then mine is but I think you can adjust how far the probe goes into the runner from the sensor...? here's the one I didn't use next to the taller one...

its stainless steel with standard NPT threads... I made them in the machine shop at my work (they have all kinds of fun toys ).

ok man, i will take it. i think my autometer probe has a female fitting on it. and so does that. do you have any male to male adaptors or something to make this work.

thanks again

You will have to do a pusher fan if you haven't already done so.

why do the honda guys put the EGT on cylinder #3? All the neon folks say the same thing but my #1 cylinder always runs hotter. Just wondering....

The question is why...

My #1 always runs hotter because its at the end of the intake manifold and gets the most air. Why does #3 run hotter on a honda?

it has to do with the block design... where the water jackets are located, and I believe also the firing order of the cylinders is such that the heat from cyl #4 is absorbed into cyl #3... something like that.

this is why piston #3 is almost always the first one to go
