Default EGT/CE light prob..

I took my car into the shop to get some ARP's put in. Before it went it it was running fine, EGT's wer earound 800 degrees C when cruising highway.

Yesterday while i was on my way home, the EGT's wouldnt go above 500 degrees C on the highway and the CE light was on.

Today, i cranked the engine, the CE light has gone OFF??? But the EGT's are still very low in the 500-600 degrees C region on the highway 3/4 throttle. I was gonna try to read what teh code was but no CE light

Only thing im thinkin is that i know for a fact the distributor is goin bad, but could that cause the CE light?

Im kind of new to Hondas, but for VW's i know that our ECU would sometimes put our cars into "Limp Mode" when the CE light came on and would also cause it to run super rich. Could this be why my car is running rich as well?

Any thought would be very helpfull, thanks.

only a a few of the non feedback sensor will actually throw the ECU into limp mode causing it to run rich..

for example, not having a cat, is not gonna throw your car in limp mode..not having IAC valve may do that..

most of the time, the CEL code are stored in the ECU, you can try to retrieve the code, even though the CEL light is off...

that's a start..

Well im at school againnow so i dont have a chance to troubleshoot yet. I know that my distributor is going bad, could that cause the timing to get affected?
