EG D16 turbo
Well thought i might as well ask. I bought my 92 civic si for around $2000. I would really like to turbo it. I dont really wanna spend more on a turbo than i did on the car haha. Was looking at ebays ones for $500-$800. Are they really that bad? If so is there parts of the ebay kits that can be used to make a turbo kit a bit cheaper?
If anyone has experience with ebay kits please let me know. Also if so let me know the ebay brand it was.
Thanks

My 2c is I knew two guys here in my town who went all out ebay turbo kits - there BOV did not sound too bad but its just too bad they only got to hear it for about 10 months or so... go figure lol. Hey man if you trying to save, you're better off buying used REPUTABLE parts ie. known brands than buying a new shiny ebay kit!

Spend the money on the turbo, BOV and wastegate (even second hand). You can cheap out a little on the manifold, intercooler, piping/couplers/clamps etc.. though, be prepared to do some cutting on the pipes because they're just "universal" kits and they're all a little too long to bolt straight up.
I have an ebay kit on my car right now and personally I like it. But then again I think the Chinese guy who assembled it must have just gotten paid because it's actually decent lol (for now). It's going to be a hit and miss with ebay kits.

Re: EG D16 turbo
Your not worried about the manifold?????
Look if you want to turbo your car DO NOT RUSH INTO IT.. Your gonna spend more money on the parts that are gonna break and your motor that will blow after a couple of 40 psi boost spikes. Stop asking questions instead all the questions that pop up in you brain type it in google hit search and im sure your answer will be there. If its not then post something here but I doubt it. Just because ypu havent asked the question doesnt mean it hasnt been asked..
And honda tech needs a like button caused I laughed my *** off to these replys
