Default efficiency of the drag kit intercooler(spearco)

Just a quick question for those who knows....I just got my block back with Darton sleeves but does the drag intercooler(spearco) can hold more then 400whp?
what's their effeciency?

I don't think that it would be efficient for that much power. You will need something bigger than that.

If I can remember correctly (which I am not, heh) I remember it being 18x8x2? If I were you I would sell it and buy a larger intercooler. What manifold are you using?

There are quite a few archived posts about this....I have a drag IC as well and what I got from the posts was that it can handle 400-500whp.....*shrug*...I am going to see...if it doesn't hold up then it will be replaced. Might as well try it....

For 400-500whp I would recommend the XS engineering intercooler. The core is 24x11x3 and fits hondas nicely. I use this one in all of my custom turbo kits and make very good power with it. As a matter of fact, it's the intercooler we used on the race car before we changed to water/air.

Do you have some pics of the intercooler installed in a 92-95 civic hatch? I might go this route. And is the XS i/c is it bar and plate or tube and fin? Thanks for you time.
