Default intercooler: drag vs. precision

drag 27" L x 7" H x 2.5" D
precision 26 3/4" L x 6 3/8" H x 3.5" D

in "concept" drag will cool air charge better than precision, provided they have the same core design; drag has more front charge surface, while precision will be more efficient at higher boost due to larger volume.

but conceptually, just doesn't do it for me. does anyone have experiences with both? what is the good and what is the bad about both? which comes out on top? are they using the same core design? if they are plates, counting the number of plates, drag wins again.

anyone have info to share? personal experiences will be the best. more detailed spec is also great.

About all I can say is DRAG uses a Spearco core and Precision uses the Garrett.

So in other words: No, they do not use the same core design.

i think the drag is a bar and plate design, anyone know what the precisison is? it also depends alot on end tank design.

I want to bring this topic up because the question isn't really answered. The Drag IC is longer and alittle taller but 1" thinner. Now I have always though that you want a taller and thicker IC to be more effecient. Making a much longer IC isn't as effective as making it taller or thicker. The Precision IC is rated at 350 HP. The drag IC I haven't found any #'s on but I have red where people have made close to 400 WHP with it. My question is since you can get both IC's for around the same price which one would you go for?
