Also since a ls revs to 6800 and I get the rev to 8000 can i go that high without head work???

In my opinion chips are all a waste of money. Each motor is different and requires different fuel and timing tables. You are better off just purchasing s-afc. As far as rev limits, is your motor even making power past 6800 stock?

good luck..thats more than 1000 rpm more than stock. i wouldnt rev a stock engine any more than 200 rpm past stock revlimit..thats just asking for bad things to happen.
ps...ls rockerarms love to fly off @ high rpms.

No you can't rev to a grand past redline on stock head. Well you could. Once.
$180 is a little on the high side for a plug and play chip. Always get your chips througha reputable seller, there is NOTHING wrong with them, especially if they were dialed in on a similar car.
Most of the stock "mugen" jun" "skunk2" chips, without modification are going to run pig rich.
